Wood is regarded as green gold.

Woods are used in greater extend in building house and construction of the boats, ships etc. Certain advantages and disadvantages are emphasized. Timber can stand fire for a longer time than steel, instead of collapse, distort or bend.With proper treatment timber also can improve resistant to fungi, termites and borers.

Timber also has high strength compare to the weight. Natural beauty and durability can not be matched by any other materials. It is as important that you know about the wood before you place and order.

265 species are available or useable for construction or commercial purpose. Out of this, over 150 species are exported.

Some of these species are soft and light, primary for export are hard and heavy like iron.

Proper treatment is very necessary to avoid early deterioration. Most of the timber deteriorate in a very short period, if proper prevention method are not applied. Wood is biological product and subject to continues circle of compositions and decompositions.

Decomposition runs counter to the  intend of man, timber is to be utilized. This is called "Deterioration". A prime cause of deterioration in wood in ground & water contact.

 Destruction of the environment should be countered. Conservation of natural resources is a major challenging of our time. Wood is a multiple use biological row material.

Unfavorable conditions, fungi, termites, borers or fire can greatly curtail it's life service. Targeted wood protection methods have long been employed to enhance natural durability and reduce both wood consumption and conservation.
